Textbook Romance now available in PRINT!
Last Christmas, Decadent Publishing became the first company to publish one of my adult novellas in paper, along with several other authors, in a holiday anthology. That was thrilling, and I am so proud to have that on my shelf.
But, as of today, I now have a novel all of my own in paperback, and I am over the moon!
Please know I mean no slight against ebooks when I say this is a dream come true. When I was a child and began writing my "books," I naturally dreamed of them being in paper form. Things have come a long way since then. (Frankly, though, I knew right away when watching Star Trek: TNG and admiring their little electronic reading devices that that was where literature would wind up, so I'm not surprised by the popularity of the Kindle, Nook, Kobo, etc.) I am always pleased when one of my works becomes available to readers with ereading devices, of course. But, somewhere deep inside, a little 12 year old me is jumping up and down right now.
I now have a paperback novel! Like, for reals! Like, one I can send my Mum! (I am really happy, so please pardon the gushing.) I also couldn't be prouder that it is this novel, Textbook Romance, a book I am pleased to present. Aside from my first novel, Strings Attached, this one is closest to my heart.
Take a look at the NEW print edition page right here! I'm pretty sure it will be available on Amazon and B&N, as well, soon, and should also be available at any bookstore that does special orders.
Thank you, Pink Petal Books! You've made a dream come true for me.

Bookmark-Squee!
My bookmarks for Textbook Romance came in the mail this week!*
Take a look at the proofs:
And, "in real life" - only, you know, less blurry.
Aren't they lurvly?
So, what does one do with promotional bookmarks? Stick them in brochure displays? Litter cafes with them? Smuggle them into bus terminals? Hide them under the ereader demos at the electronics stores? What?
One thing for sure, if/when I do my paperback giveaways this fall, you can assume there will be a few in there, and maybe some signed ones as door prizes for the releases! They are quite nice things, so I promise not to scribble over them too badly.
Though, since I'm an educator, perhaps I should save them for Christmas gifts. If you're lucky, there might even be a book wrapped around them. Or at least an envelope. You know how it is.
Other than that, if anyone has any suggestions as to how best to use these babies, I'm open to comments!
* Many thanks to Mary and Pink Petal Books for the gift!

"Classic Contemporary Romance": New Review of Strings Attached
I got the most lovely review of Strings Attached from The Romance Reviews yesterday.
It's a TRR Top Pick!
I was sitting in the university library, finishing up my course reserve requests, when I decided to take a break and check my email - and there it was! I was so thrilled that I was horrified to find myself alone in a quiet, public place. I did do a little "squee" under my breath, though.
A bit of what they write:
STRINGS ATTACHED snags the readers' attention from the start. Well written with beautifully descriptive scenes and witty dialogue, Ms. Holly spins a tale of hope, redemption and love... Ms Holly's skillful unveiling of the deeper emotional motivations of her main characters had this reader in tears - the good kind that promises hope and happy endings.
A classic contemporary romance, STRINGS ATTACHED delivers a solid story. Josie and Theo's romance is well worth the read... Theirs is the kind of romance that makes you want to know what happens after "The End"!
I admit, my favourite part might just be the "classic contemporary romance." I like it so much, in fact, it is now a masthead on the book's official website.
Emotional stories, dealing with modern issues and relationships, often dramatic and funny, and always touching. This... it's all I ever wanted to do. Real, old fashioned contemporary romances, the sort I grew up reading.
I couldn't have asked for a nicer compliment!
