Oh, Yeah! I have a Blog!

Yes, well, I have no excuse for my slacking aside from exhaustion, busyness and returning to teaching this week. Also, I've been slightly under the weather. Wait, that's a whole bunch of excuses!

In any case, I guess I should make a quick addendum to the resolutions post (which I never did get around to posting) saying something about being better with blogging. Or something like that.

Will get back to regular very soon, once the holiday promo drain has warn off. In the meantime, please enjoy this pretty picture:

School Starts Today

Hi folks!

Today is my first class back from summer break. In the fall 2011 term, I am teaching a class with 125 undergrads, and at least 50 in the winter 2012 term, so I'll be a lot more scarce than I've been over the summer (which might be a good or a bad thing for you, I don't know).

Real life calls, and I must respond - the summer free time was fun, but hard on the old bank account.

I will still be updating when I can, and I promise to update at least once a week, and to mark all the important things (holidays, events, new covers, releases, etc). Also, we have some exciting special dates lined up - guest blogging, chats, a blog hop, and other little happy times. My newsletters will continue monthly, and I'm looking forward to having a few guests drop by now and then, as well as some small contests. I'll also be around Twitter and Facebook when I can, so you can catch me there.

I am also expecting at least four more releases between now and the New Year, and I will be continuing to write, submit and look forward to many more new books in 2012.

So, while this isn't goodbye, it is a notice that I'm off to the grown up working world for a few months.

Thanks for keeping me company over my summer leave, and I look forward to keeping in touch!

Where in the World is Anne Holly?

Don't worry, I have yet to be carried away by bats. I have been, in fact, very busy with work and writing. I have a deadline fast approaching for a Halloween story, and I needed to get my course reader into the printers so my students would have it for the start of classes in September. Things are progressing fine, and I should be back to normal next week.

In the meantime, you can find a new interview at Rawiya's, a jazzy blog for erotica. This is certainly Adults Only (18+), and possibly NSFW (depending on where you work).

Happy August Long Weekend!

I'm taking the long weekend Monday off from blogging, etc. Long weekend means no daycare, so all spare typing time must go to the new Halloween short I'm writing. (Set myself a mini-marathon challenge to finish the whole 10,000 words of it this long weekend. *fingers crossed*)

Brief Hiatus...

I have family in to visit for the next few days, so my usual level of presence around the interwebs will be cut down to nearly nil.

Once More with Feeling?

I tried foolishly and valiantly to run a daily blog, and I got burned out real fast. However, I am starting it up again very soon - as a twice-weekly blog (maybe more or less, depending on my blog muses and contributions).

So, I have admitted and embraced that defeat, and am willing to get back on the blogging wagon (or is that fall off the blogging wagon?).

I do enjoy featuring, interviewing and welcoming new releases, as well as running author trailers, etc, so I am opening it back up for that. I am also open to guest blog posts. I do very few reviews, sadly, due to time constraints, but I might do the occasional one this summer as time/interest allows, and if something piques my interest.

Anyone involved with books/writing are welcome - pubs, eds, cover artists, writers, readers, sellers, techies, pre-published authors, etc. All genres are welcome - fiction, non-fiction, poetry, blogging, journalism, scripts/screenplays, etc. However, I am a writer of romance and erotica, so be mindful of that (i.e., be aware of that if you link your interview at my blog on your website for children's books, and so forth).

In any case, contact me if you are interested in having a day on my author blog.

(I'm willing to reciprocate, as well, if you wish.)

I just finished my NaNo 50k, as well as a couple demanding rounds of edits on the Christmas romance, on top of being down and out with a pretty serious cold, so this poor old blog fell by the wayside a bit.

We will resume regular programming soon, after I get a chance to rest up a bit.
