My Other Blog is a Microblog

Dear Blog:

It's time I told you the truth. This isn't easy for me to say, but... I've been seeing someone else. Actually, I've been seeing several other elses.

You see, you require big posts. Facebook and Twitter, they are happy if I toss them 160 characters once in a while. I can really share things with them, the way I never could with you. Your posts require a lot of effort and thought, and, well... I'm busy.

Kind of too busy to take words away from my WIP to meet your needy demands.

Besides, FB and Twitter like it when other people watch. You and me - we live in a bubble. On Twitter, over 500 people bear witness to our meetings. Sometimes, I think you and I are just too exclusive. I need to see other people once in a while.

So, I guess what I'm saying is - I like quickies. Oh, and it's not me, it's you.
