This week's six sentences is from my newest release, a witchy Halloween erotic romance, LIKE MAGIC:
Ian leaned in close to her, breathing in her unique aroma. Pausing, holding his breath, he searched her face for signs of rejection and saw none. He didn’t believe in magic, or whatever it was mystical people thought they could do, but he was here now and the sweetness of her drew him in. They had this moment, and he would enjoy her. If believing her wish had been granted would revive her zest for life, he’d be happy for her. But, magic, he always believed, was nothing more than just what you made of your luck. Please visit the other authors participating in this week's Six Sentence Sunday!

Sounds like Ian is having a magical moment. Whether he believes it or not!
Thanks for the chance to enjoy a small snippet of this fab short story!
Thanks! Yes, Ian had a hard time believing in magic all the way through. But, he'll learn!
I love the line "the sweetness of her drew him in." What a sweet six, sounds like a great story!
Thanks, Sandra. I admit these are one of my favourite couples. I found it very satisfying to write.
Great six! Love the character.
Intriguing snipper...your six really drew me in.
Thanks, Jennifer and Christine. :)
You switch tenses mid-sentence in your second line... I think if you changed it to, 'Pausing, breath held, he searched her face...' would be okay.
Nice six! :)
